Equipping households to create regular patterns of worship through devotionals with their families.

Join us as we grow in turning our homes into places of worship and discipleship through regular family devotions. Saturday, August 22, from 9am–3:30pm,McIntosh Baptist Church will host a one-day conference on family worship for churches in the Flint River Baptist Association and beyond.

By family worship, we simply mean the regular habit of opening God’s Word, praying, singing, and speaking of the things of Christ as a household. Whether your household is large or small, young or old, the Lord calls us to gladly say with Joshua, “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord”(Joshua 24:15).

We want this conference to be practical, encouraging, and unpretentious. As Donald Whitney wisely says, “Be brief, be regular, and be flexible.”

Families of all ages and sizes are welcome to come. Kids are encouraged to participate and get a vision for worshiping the Lord with their families at home. There is no childcare provided for this event. Families are encouraged to arrange childcare if needed.

Each household will receive a resource bag to spur them on to making worship a regular habit in the home. Lunch and refreshments will be provided. The cost of registration is $30 per household (or individual attendee). Whether you’re a family of six, newly married, or attending on your own, we’d love for you to join us. We don’t want cost to prevent anyone from attending—please reach out as needed.
