Reese Simmons

Reese has called Griffin home his entire life. He was saved at 16 years old during a Sunday evening service through a sermon from a mission-field returning church member on the Great Commission in Matt. 28:18-20. That night, he realized that following Jesus was different from knowing about Jesus, and he desperately wanted to follow Jesus. He was discipled by that fellow church member for the next 2 years. Reese graduated summa cum laude from Brewton-Parker College in 2012 with a B.A. in Communications. He worked briefly as a press assistant in a U.S. Senate office, then as an education coordinator for a Georgia 4-H camp, before meeting his wife, Brittany. In 2014, Reese started working at a third-party logistics warehouse in Griffin to better support his future wife and family. Through the providence of God, Reese and Brittany have co-owned that business since 2020. Reese and Brittany married in 2015 and have seven children: Isaac, Abigail, Gerald, Sauley, Rachel, Jeremiah, and Margaret. Reese is working (slowly) on an M.Div from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. In his spare time, he enjoys camping with his family and working around their backyard farm.
