Plan Your Visit

  • Our Sunday morning gathering begins at 10:30, but arriving 10–15 minutes early can help you park, meet a few people, check in children if needed, and get settled. If it’s your first time, don’t worry—we’ll help you find where to go.

  • We love having children in our worship services and count them as a blessing to our church family. We believe children learn by worshiping alongside God’s people—hearing Scripture read, listening to prayers, singing with the church, and sitting under the preaching of God’s Word.

For children ages 3 and under, we offer Emmaus Kids, a class designed to teach our littlest ones about the goodness and grace of Jesus in a safe and caring environment. The entrance to Emmaus Kids is located at the center stairway of the building.

If you choose to keep your children in the service, we warmly encourage it. We know children are learning, growing, and sometimes wiggling—and that is okay. We are glad they are with us.

To help your Sunday morning go smoothly, here are a few helpful suggestions for parents:

Take a restroom trip before service begins.
A quick bathroom stop beforehand can help minimize restlessness or mid-service trips.

    Choose a good seat.
Sit wherever works best for your family. Some parents prefer an aisle seat, the front where children can see and engage, or near the back if they may need to step out briefly. Please don’t feel self-conscious about moving around if needed.

Use the McIntosh Kids bulletin. We provide a kid’s bulletin to help younger children participate and follow along in the service. The key is to teach your children to engage and participate rather than distract them in order to keep them silent.

Model participation and engagement to your children. Your children will follow your lead. Sing loud, say “Amen!”, and take notes. Let your children see what it looks like to be engaged in worship.

Snacks and water. There might be times where a snack at the beginning of the sermon or during a prayer will help them focus. Most kids also find having some water very helpful.

    Remember: children belong here.
The sounds of children do not bother us—they remind us the Lord is building His church across generations.

  • Our Sunday gathering typically lasts about 1.5 hours. We want to make space to worship thoughtfully, hear God’s Word preached, and enjoy fellowship together.

  • Our Sunday gatherings are simple, reverent, and centered on God’s Word. We seek to worship God in a way that is shaped by Scripture and focused on the good news of Jesus Christ.

    A typical service includes:

    • A call to worship from Scripture

    • Congregational singing (hymns and biblically rich songs)

    • Scripture reading and prayer

    • Confession of sin and assurance of grace from God’s Word

    • Expository preaching through books and passages of the Bible

    • A pastoral prayer for the church and community

    • A closing hymn and biblical benediction

  • Each week, we preach through books and passages of the Bible, seeking to explain what God’s Word means and how it applies to everyday life. Our desire is that every sermon points us to Jesus Christ and helps us grow in faith and obedience. You can expect a sermon to be between 40–45 minutes.

  • Our music is centered on helping the church sing together.

Rather than focusing on performance, we seek to highlight the voices of the congregation as we sing the truths of God’s Word to one another. Our aim is simple: heartfelt, joyful, and reverent congregational worship.

We primarily sing from the Sing! Hymnal, a newer hymnal developed through a partnership between Getty Music and Crossway that brings together rich historic hymns and biblically grounded modern songs for congregational worship. You can learn more about our Hymnal at this link: https://www.singhymnal.com/about/

On a typical Sunday, our music is led simply—usually with piano and sometimes guitar—so that instruments support, rather than overpower, the congregation’s singing.

  • There is no dress code. Some people dress casually, while others dress more formally. You’ll see everything from jeans to coats and ties. Please come in whatever is comfortable for you—we are glad you are here.

  • No. We won’t ask guests to stand up or do anything uncomfortable. We’d love to meet you, answer any questions, and help you get connected, but you can participate at your own pace.

We also encourage you to linger after the service. One of our greatest joys as a church is simply meeting you, learning your name, and welcoming you personally before you head out.
